Let us pray for those leaders who take a stand
Purim remembers the defeat of a plot to exterminate the Jews. The story of Purim is told in the biblical book of Esther. The heroes of the story are Esther, a beautiful young Jewish woman living in Persia and her cousin, Mordecai, who raised her as if she was his daughter.

Jim McBarron, manager of station operations for Alaska Airlines, uses a bullhorn to try and find passengers for a flight that was about to take off during a system-wide outage of the computers the airline uses to check in passengers. Most flights were delayed or canceled, but the airline was able to manually check in passengers for a few of its flights.
