Please keep in your prayers those who honor human life in their professions, especially our nurses
On a particularly difficult day a nurse prayed: ‘O God, where are you? Why don’t you send help?’ ‘I did,’ God replied, ‘I sent you. And as long as it takes, I will be with you whenever and wherever you honor human life.’

Living Faith
Lord, may I have strength to be thankful for my lessons learned
There’s some things that I regret, some words I wish had gone unsaid, some starts that had some better endings. Been some bad times I’ve been through, damage I cannot undo. Some things I wish I could do all over again. Some pages turned, some bridges burned but there were lessons learned.

Lessons Learned
For all of us wondering if our hard work is all in vain, let’s pray
All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

God’s Words for Life
Lord, give strength to those praying at work for a miracle
Don’t pray for miracles. Pray for powers equal to your tasks, and you will be the miracle.
– Pastor Robert Fehlman
Lord, reinforce in me the flexibility I need to weather the storm
Trees look strong compared with wild reeds. But when the storm comes, the trees are uprooted, whereas the wild reeds, while moved back and forth remain rooted and stand up again after the storm has calmed down. Flexibility is a great virtue.

Bread for the Journey
Lord, you are the rock of my entire existence
The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock.
– Matthew 7:25
Today I pray for endurance in what is sure to be a long process
When you are up against a step, you cannot see where the next step is leading. Sometimes opportunity is like staring at the knees of a giraffe.
