Let us give thanks that we are not alone

When I first read this, I thought it said “Let us give thanks that we are not done.” Not a bad thought either.

Along with the medition from Peggy Noonan, I think of Carl Jun’s thought in Memories, Dreams and Reflections. He said we take responsibility for things that may have taken hundreds of years to prepare. So Peggy is right, we live not only our lives but out time and also the hundreds of years that gave birth to our time.
